Spectra® fiber 1000 is more durable than polyester and has a specific strength that is up to 40 percent greater than that of aramid fiber. Specific performance is dependent upon denier and filament count.

Note, Due to the lack of availability of raw fiber and cost increase issues for Spectra® we are transitioning to Dyneema® cords for our product offerings on our web site. Dyneema® is braided to PIA specifications, like our former Spectra® offerings, that are used in commercial and recreational products.  All cords are built to PIA-C-1200 standards and Tested to PIA-TEST METHOD-6016 F or 6015.
