Twinline offers Vectran® HT with two types of finishes,

Vectran® T150 and Vectran® T97

Vectran® T150 has a stearic acid finish, oil-on -yarn, of approximately 0.3-1.1% TML (total mass loss) applied at the factory for manufacturing process capability. This Vectran® is used for textile weaving, aerospace and scientific applications. Vectran® T97 has a silicone finish, oil-on-yarn, of approximately 4.0-6.0% TML also for manufacturing process capability. Both coatings are necessary for the lubrication of the fibers during the manufacturing and the braiding process. Both coatings have a very low vapor pressure at room temperature. We offer the Vectran® T150 in the 200 lb braid with no additional coatings applied after the braiding process. All of our other Vectran® cords are made with the T97 finish with additional proprietary coatings applied after braiding. The Vectran® T97 with a silicon finish is the popular choice because of its long lasting abrasion resistance.
